Lletget, Robinson, Arriola, Johnson on American training list

Midfielder Sebastian Lletget, defenseman Miles Robinson, forward Paul Arriola and goalkeeper Sean Johnson join the U.S. National team for a 19-man training camp ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The four were on leave after the Major League Soccer season and missed last month’s exhibition against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Midfielder Djordje Mihailovic returns to the roster announced on Thursday after missing camp last month while training with Bologna.

Defenseman Aaron Long, who is recovering from a torn right Achilles tendon on May 15, will be making his third consecutive camp after training with the United States in November and December. He hasn’t been in a game since he got injured.

Forward Jordan Morris played Bosnia on December 18 in his first national team appearance since tearing his left ACL on February 20.

New England left-back DeJuan Jones will train for the national team for the first time.

The players will practice in Phoenix from Friday to January 21, with some joining the European players when they travel to Columbus, Ohio for a qualifying game on January 27 against El Salvador.
